A recent Church Homeless Charity grant enabled residents at a Riverside scheme to celebrate Pandcake Day and organise an Easter buffet.
These activities have been about so much more than just food. The residents have been able to:
- Reduced isolation
- motivation and taking responsibility
- improved mental health and wellbeing
- improving social skills
- living skills
- budgeting money
- co-production skills

“By planning menus, budgeting for ingredients, and shopping for supplies, our customers have taken the lead on these projects, building essential life skills and confidence along the way. Whether they were sharing secret pancake flipping techniques or enjoying the first sunny day of the year together, the focus has been on fostering new friendships and creating a sense of belonging.”
