You may have noticed our new logo: we hope you like it as much as we do.

It represents a bright window on to the future, and expresses the hope that our funding provides for people. It is also a cross that demonstrates the love of God to the poor and vulnerable.

The new logo was developed alongside plans to expand and meet the growing need for our help in the future. As factors such as high rents and low wages are pushing more people into homelessness, the need for our help is increasing.

We know that many of our supporters are committed to several charities, and already give us as much as they can. Our aim is to double our income over the coming five years in order to help more vulnerable people. So we need to communicate what we do, and why we do it, to new audiences.

Throughout the past 130 years, Church Housing Trust has remained faithful to its aim of helping people in need to establish a home and a place in society. Our roots go back to 1882 when Revd Wilson Carlile began helping homeless people on the Thames Embankment.

This work grew into providing supported housing and facilities for people without homes across England. In 2006, these became managed by Riverside Care and Support, sustained by the government. We work in partnership with Riverside Care and Support to provide the personal support and facilities, on top of basic government-funded services, which individuals need to rejoin society.

We aim not only to continue this excellent and much-needed work, but to increase our outreach and support more people over the coming years. We hope you will continue to support us on this journey.
