Woolly Hat Day

Join us on Wednesday 25th February 2026 for our new annual fundraiser – Woolly Hat Day.

By taking part, you’ll help us provide life-changing grants to people experiencing homelessness.

How to take part

Getting involved couldn’t be easier:

1. Wear your woolly hat for the day – at home, in the office, or out and about.
2. Make a donation via our secure online form.
3. Share the love! Snap a photo of your team, class, or congregation in their hats and tag us on social media.

Your donation helps create a path forward – and by taking part in Woolly Hat Day, you become part of those journeys.

Who can take part?

Anyone can get involved. We’d love to see:

Individuals

Friends and social groups

Churches

Schools

Companies and workplaces

If your team works remotely (like ours), simply pop on your woolly hat for video calls.

Meeting clients? A woolly hat is a great icebreaker and a natural way to start conversations about homelessness and how your organisation supports people who are vulnerable.

Please take photos and share them with us – we’d love to feature them on our social channels. You can also post them on your own socials to help spread the word and encourage others to get involved.

Why it matters

At Church Homeless Charity, we give grants to people who have few places to turn.

Each grant may seem small, but for the person receiving it, it can mean a fresh start, renewed hope, and the chance to take control of what comes next.

Woolly Hat Day is an easy, inclusive way to support people experiencing homelessness. All it takes is a woolly hat, a small donation, and a willingness to start conversations about an issue that affects 1 in 200 people across the UK.
