Mina experienced domestic abuse from her husband, placing her and her children at risk. He also threatened her with deportation (she was on a spouse visa).
Mina was forced to flee, leaving her and her children homeless. Because of her immigration status, she was unable to access benefits, leaving her in an extremely vulnerable position.
A grant from CHC covered clothing, travel and debt, helping Mina take practical steps toward rebuilding her life, and creating stability for her children.
