Our partners

We work closely with a diverse network of organisations that deliver frontline support to people experiencing homelessness across England.

These partnerships are crucial to our mission of providing grants that make a big impact, ensuring those facing homelessness receive the practical, timely help they need to rebuild their lives.

Types of supported housing we support

Our grants reach homeless individuals in a wide variety of living environments, including:

  • Homeless family accommodation – providing safe, temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness.
  • Night shelters and day centres – providing support for rough sleepers and people with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).
  • Women’s refuges – providing a secure environment for women and children fleeing domestic abuse, offering a pathway to safety and stability.
  • Temporary housing for ex-Services personnel – supporting those who have served in the armed forces as they transition to civilian life.
  • Young people’s foyers – offering housing, training, and support to young people facing homelessness, helping them build the skills needed for independent living.
  • Host families for asylum seekers – providing a home to migrants as they appeal for the right to remain in the UK.
  • Young families’ services – offering specialist support for teenagers and vulnerable mothers and their children.
  • Projects for people with drug or alcohol dependency – helping individuals recover and rebuild their lives in a supportive, structured setting.

Who do we partner with?

Most of the individuals we fund live in supported accommodation schemes run by our biggest partner, Riverside.

Riverside is the largest provider of homelessness services in England, providing vital housing and support to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

These schemes offer safe, stable environments and tailored support to help residents regain their independence and move toward a brighter future.

Our other partners tend to be smaller organisations, often offering specialist support. These include schemes for women from the Middle East, refused asylum seekers, young parents and prison leavers.

To see a full list of schemes, please refer to the back of our annual report.

Why our partnerships matter

By working with a wide range of partners, we can ensure that our grants reach those who need them most, providing essentials that often fall outside the scope of statutory support.

This collaboration allows us to respond quickly to urgent needs and provide a safety net for those who may otherwise be overlooked.

What our partners say about us

“Thank you again to CHC for being such an excellent resource. We, and those we support so appreciate the lifeline that a grant can sometimes be!”

“Your generosity has meant that our tenants have been better supported on their journeys to independence. It really does mean a great deal.”

“CHC grants continue to make a positive impact on young adults struggling with homelessness. Each grant has the potential to turn someone’s life around.”

“Thank you to CHC for making is possible for residents that live in homeless accommodation to move on and have a fresh start in life. CHC are a brilliant charity, and I would highly recommend them with supporting tenants. They have helped so many people in our scheme to move on and into their own places.”

“Some residents with complex needs have been abandoned from their families and have suffered mental and or physical abuse during their short lives. So, we try to make a difference offering various activities, events and distractions when we possibly can. But as you know, we are all struggling with budgets. With CHC’s funding we can engage the residents with some fun activities. We are very grateful, as are the residents.”

“Thank you so very much for your constant generosity. Your support gives people hope and makes a massive and lasting impact in their lives!”

“Your funding is so important to us. Especially as you understand the need for funding that supports a holistic approach to wellbeing, healing and recovery from trauma.”

“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for the invaluable financial support you provide to our clients. Many of them have very limited funds and have not much more than one or two bags with personal possessions, if any. Once we have helped them find a place to stay, telling them we can help them with paying their move-in fees to secure the room or paying for a few essential household goods is the absolute cherry on the cake for them! Thank you for your dedication and passion in helping those in need of things that some of us take for granted.”

“I would just like to say thank you on behalf of our customers and staff. All the funding we have had recently has really made a massive impact on our customers.”

“Thank you so much for your continued support to our residents. Wishing you continued success supporting people in difficult times and situations.”
