Support people out of homelessness – your way
Fundraising is a powerful way to help people on their journey out of homelessness. Whether you’re running a marathon, hosting a coffee morning, or holding a collection at your local church, every pound you raise helps someone take the next step towards a safer, more stable life.
At Church Homeless Charity, we provide life-changing grants to people experiencing homelessness – and we couldn’t do it without the dedication of people like you.
Summer fun-draising!
This summer we’re inviting you to fundraise for us! You don’t need to run a marathon or shave your head!
A summer BBQ, fete, or afternoon tea could be a fantastic way to support those in need.
Whatever you choose to do, we’ll support you all the way.
Head to our resources page for handy downloadable resources and more fundraising ideas.
Could you be a CHC champion?
Each £200 you raise pays for one of our life-changing grants.

Recent fundraising
We’d like to thank everyone who took part in fundraisers during the last few months. Your support is deeply appreciated and helps us to extend our reach to more people in need.

Running the London Marathon
On Sunday, April 26th, Mike Jordan ran the London marathon in 3 hours and 6 minutes to help raise funds for Church Homeless Charity
Over the run, he was able to raise an incredible £1,160!
From Mike: “I chose to support Church Homeless Charity because they do more than just offer a temporary fix. They provide grants for individuals facing homelessness to help them rebuild their lives step-by-step. Whether it’s funding for basic clothing, travel to a job interview, or the essential furnishings needed to turn a bare hostel room into a place of comfort, they step in where local authorities often cannot.”

CEO Sleepout
Late in November 2025, we had some brave souls take part in the CEO Sleepout, camping out at Lord’s Cricket Ground for a night to help raise an amazing £13k for CHC.
Mark – “Delighted to have been able to raise much-needed funds for the charity with CEO Sleepout. Taking part truly identifies the awful situation that homeless people find themselves in. The role Church Homeless Charity plays is vital in assisting the homeless in the first stages of rebuilding their lives.”
Andy – “ It was an eye-opening experience to see what street homeless people go through every night. No one should have to do that. We were lucky, although it was cold and very uncomfortable, it was above freezing and didn’t rain, I wouldn’t want to have to do it again.”

Camping out for the cause
Staff members from The Beacon opted to experience a night outdoors for their recent fundraiser. Setting up camp in their local Tesco car park, they were also joined by a few Tesco staff members. Taking sponsorships, and donations on the night, they raised an incredible £1,159.84.
The Beacon (part of Riverside Group) offers supported housing to single veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have support needs.
Cindy McAulay, Projects Assistant at The Beacon said: “We wanted to do the fundraiser for your fabulous charity as we feel that it’s time to give back. And we cannot thank you enough for the constant support you give our veterans.”

A musical message of hope
For over 35 years, musician Bryn Haworth has taken his music to prisons, where he speaks with inmates and witnesses first-hand the close link between prison and homelessness.
Driven by his belief that cycles of homelessness can be broken with better support, affordable housing, and stronger care systems, Bryn is passionate about making a difference.
“Having a home goes some way to breaking that cycle,” he says. In line with this message, he recently rereleased his single All I Need is a Home to raise awareness and funds for Church Homeless Charity.
His efforts have been impactful, exceeding his £1,000 fundraising goal.

A day to treasure
3i’s summer fundraiser at London Zoo was a roaring success, raising an incredible £5,206. Staff put their teamwork skills to the test with a thrilling treasure hunt, culminating in a grand prize for the team that cracked the final code.
If you know a business that would like to partner with us and elect us as a chosen charity, then please get in touch. By making us your chosen cause, you can make a real difference in the lives of those most in need. To learn more, please contact us.

Festive fundraising
As the festive season approaches, many of our generous supporters choose to hold special church services to raise funds for us. One of our trustees, Liz Toher, organised a brilliant concert at her church, raising vital funds to support those in need throughout the winter months (Pictured). Each event hosted by our supporters extends a helping hand to people with very little.
If your church or community group would like to host a fundraising event, please reach out – we’d love to help make it a success.
