Fundraising is an amazing way to raise awareness and money for a great cause. We’ve been lucky enough to have many people over the years fundraise for us in a range of innovative, creative and fun ways.
If you’d like to get involved – whether it be through sporting prowess, sponsored challenges, or any number of others ways then please see the pack below and contact us for sponsorship forms, posters, and collection boxes.
Have you heard about the CHTea Challenge? This year, we’re asking you to invite 5 of your friends over for Afternoon Tea for tea, scones, and raising awareness of homelessness. Donations are optional, but if five of your friends donate to Church Homeless Charity then you will receive a free CHTea cup that you can use at your next afternoon tea!
Doesn’t seem like much of a challenge? Then what’s stopping you! Tea, cake and changing the lives of countless homeless individuals is an amazing way to spend your afternoon.

When the pandemic begun, we set ourselves a target of raising £10,000 in order to support the needs of homeless people who needed to self-isolate, or who had suddenly been moved into new accommodation with nothing but the clothes on their back. It was an ambitious target, but we have now met it thanks in large part to a brilliant fundraising initiative by our friends over at The Riverside Group. They raised an incredible £9000 by walking, running and cycling over 17000km in June. Over 80 members of staff took part in the ‘Stretch For Church Homeless Charity’ challenge, with participants being sponsored by friends and family.
Just a few highlights from this brilliant campaign include:
• Jenny ran a marathon around Manchester, incorporating many riverside services.
• Craig completed 10km of his pledged walking distance while engaging in outreach with rough sleepers.
• Anthony and Mark finished the month with a breathtaking 1695km and 1734km under their belt.

If you or your team are interested in taking on a sporting challenge for charity, give us a call and we can arrange a place for you, as well as support you to set up a fundraising page, and provide you with a Church Homeless Charity t-shirt.
